Just a couple weeks ago, the entire Los Angeles school district shut down in response to a terrorist threat, and promises of violence continue to roll into school districts from New York to Virginia. We know what the politicians say, and we know whether or not we agree with them. But what about the high school kids, those still living with their parents and looking ahead to graduation? At 17 and 18 years old, they are on the cusp of voting for the very first time. Can they make sense of the debate over the Second Amendment?
