Ex-Yankee exec buys condo at CitySpire

therealdeal.comIt may not be a field seat, but at least it has a view of Central Park.

Steve Swindal, a former New York Yankees executive and the team’s one-time heir apparent, bought an 852-square-foot condominium unit at the Continuum Company-developed CitySpire for $1.4 million, according to property records filed with the city Wednesday.

The one-bedroom condo, located at 150 West 56th Street, is one of 338 units in the Midtown tower, which overlooks Central Park and was constructed in 1987. Tishman Speyer and the National Pension Service currently own the property.
