esquire.com – GOFFSTOWN, NEW HAMPSHIRE—I have to say that, in June of an election year, when it is not covered in snow and Republicans, St. Anselm’s College looks like a much different place than it does in January. Spin rooms have gone back to being auditoriums. Event rooms have gone back to being cafeterias and libraries. The circus has been gone for months and, usually, it has left behind not a trace of itself. Four electoral votes will do that to a place. But this is not a usual election and it no longer is a usual year, so the circus came back on Monday and it came back with a vengeance.
