Before we move to this weekend’s action on the electric teevee machine, let’s bid farewell to Mike (Payola) Allen, the man behind The Playbook and one of the founding geniuses of Tiger Beat On The Potomac. Allen is moving on to a yet-unnamed new project with his other founding genius and, boy howdy, did The New York Times give ol’ Payola a cute sendoff on Sunday.
