balls.ie – Tomorrow sees Irish football’s biggest game in 14 years as we take on France in Lyon.
Irish fans have invaded the city in anticipation of the game. Also in Lyon are a number of English fans.
England’s last game in the group stages was on Monday night nearby Saint-Etienne and they are still in the area before their last-16 game with Iceland four hours south in Nice on Monday night.
According to Independent.ie, there have been some tensions between Irish and a group of English fans in the city.
The group attempted to provoke Irish fans by singing anti-IRA songs. This resulted in police intervention.
